Aurelie Pons has undoubtedly become one of the new faces of TF1. In the casting of the series “Here everything begins”, she participated in “Dance with the stars” in 2021, and was eliminated at the gates of the final. She did not want to participate in Miss France 2019
Barely a month after her coronation, Aurélie Pons has indeed decided to return his scarf and not to go further in the competition for love. “Miss France is a path that requires you to do it alone,” she explained on her Instagram account. “But me, my life today, it is two. In the meantime, on my way, I met Carlos and my life took on another dimension. He is a model, too, but above all he has a great treasure deep down inside. And that is precious and rare. We will continue working and modeling together. In Paris, in Barcelona, in Asia. We will continue to travel, to meet people and smiles, to enriched with the beauty of the world and its diversity.”
Very in love, the young woman preferred to give up to embark on a more fulfilling adventure according to her: “I chose love. A healthy and great love, because it is true. And I know deep down inside me that it will lead me just as well to my ends, but simply by another path than that of Miss France.”
love and comedy
However, the love she felt (and still does) for Carlos Romero is not the only thing that pushed her to change course. In an interview with Télé 7 Jours, she confided that, in love or not, she was no longer so sure of wanting to participate in the Miss France competition. “On paper, it’s not wrong, but to be honest, even if I had been alone, I would have chosen the path of comedy. My childhood dream was not to be Miss, but an actress .”
A complicated path, however, since on the occasion of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, the young woman had entrusted to us nearly giving up her acting career before being cast in “Here everything begins”: “I started from nothing, I landed from my deep countryside in Paris, and I started harassing the agents by telling them that I wanted to become an actress. I sent hundreds of emails until one of them answered me, I did a lot of auditions… And at one point, I thought to myself that I was going to have to pass something else, because it wasn’t working. Until the day when I was called to tell me that I had landed the role of Salomé. It was the culmination of a lot of perseverance, and I can’t be so grateful, especially with an atmosphere like the one on set.”
The modeling world was not for her
In the end, Aurélie Pons absolutely does not regret having moved away from the world of Misses and fashion shows: “The world of modeling really demolished me”, she admitted to us, before comparing this experience to that of the filming of the TF1 series. “Falling on a set like that, with such benevolence, so much mutual aid… It’s really a crazy experience, especially since it opened doors for me for projects that I can’t not speak yet.”
In the columns of Télé Star, she also said: “I don’t really want to talk about it anymore, because it didn’t represent anything in my life”, referring to her past as a model. A clear and definitive line on a career that he will not miss.
