The investigation continues in the investigation into the death of Kiely Rodni, this 16-year-old teenager found lifeless in her submerged car, in California.
Police are continuing their investigation into the death of young Kiely Rodni. The 16-year-old girl was found lifeless in late August in her submerged car at the Prosser Reservoir in California. Prior to her disappearance two weeks earlier, the girl had attended a party from which she never returned. Despite the many means put in place by the investigators to try to find her, it was finally the divers of a team of amateurs who discovered the vehicle under water, with the body inside. Many questions remain to be resolved.
The “Reno Gazette Journalindicates that the police have so far made no further progress, believing that they will probably obtain results in several weeks. The agents rely in particular on the autopsy report, which must include toxicological analyses. Thanks to him, the police will be able to determine what the teenager died of but especially if she had consumed prohibited substances. The “Sunwrote last August that men in their late 20s allegedly handed out free drugs, including mushrooms and cocaine during the evening. Alcohol was also allegedly consumed, which is illegal in the United States under 21 years of age.
Police are also looking at Kiely’s vehicle. Analyzes are also carried out there in order to understand what could have happened before it ended its journey in the water. Speed, brakes, an accident, mechanical problems, all tracks are open on this subject.
“That seems suspicious to me”
But while the authorities seem for the moment to be struggling to advance their investigation, many rumors are spreading on social networks. This affair, which fascinated the Americans in August, experienced a turnaround when the divers discovered the body. The latter posted a video on YouTube in which they film the moment the car was spotted. They explain that Kiely was in the back of the car, the window on the passenger side is smashed and the window on the driver’s side is “half open”. Then comes an immediate question: why was the young girl not in the driver’s seat, if she was alone at that time? “That seems suspicious to me,” says one of the divers.
On another YouTube channel, a user calling himself Checkit TV claims to have found a laptop and other items belonging to Kiely where the car was. He claims to have got his hands on included a sports bag, a hairbrush, a charging cord and a gift box, indicates the “Sun“. A Nevada County Sheriff’s spokesperson told the tabloid, “I can confirm that our office has contacted the individual claiming to have recovered some of Kiely’s property and we have taken possession of these items. I cannot, at this stage, say whether they belonged to Kiely or not”.
In total, between 200 and 300 people, teenagers and young adults, were at the party, but few agreed to collaborate with the police at the start of the investigation. “People don’t talk to us,” Constable Angela Musallam, of the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, had complained to the “New York Post “. “A lot of people who were at the party are going to start college and they’re afraid it’ll ruin their future, or something like that,” she added.
