TELEVISION – After the rain will come the good weather. Mathieu and Alexandre, who formed an emblematic couple of the 15th season of Love is in the meadow on M6, have decided to divorce after two years of love. They were the show’s first same-sex couple. They were married in June 2021, under the eye of Karine Le Marchand.
Mathieu announced the news this Monday, September 12 in the Jordan de Luxe show, broadcast on C8 and on the page of Tele-Leisure. “Today, we separate, by mutual agreement”he revealed, adding that they had started divorce proceedings at the end of August. “Well, we call each other every day. We lived two extraordinary years, really. We did a lot of trips. But at one point, Alexandre struggled to find his place. I think he needed a quieter, less turbulent life. He wanted to be stable, a more traditional life,” continued Mathieu, moved.
It was actually Alexandre who broached the subject of a separation, according to Mathieu. “That doesn’t prevent me from moving forward in life and continuing with associations. But it is a blow. It’s more of a decision on his part. But you know, when you love, you have to know how to listen to the other. He told me he still loved me. he confided.
“I’m as at fault as him, in fact, it’s 50/50. »
Mathieu assures, at the microphone of Jordan de Luxe, that Alexander’s decision to end their relationship was not the result of an extramarital affair. “He stayed in Deauville for a long time. He had found a contract there, he missed the races. I’m sure there’s no one. He’s a very straight guy.”he assures.
One needed quiet and the other more “turbulence”. “We agree on everything. He wants to live something else. I need a more turbulent life, to move right and left, to do lots of things. The life I wanted no longer suited him. I’m as faulty as him, in fact, it’s 50/50. That’s why I let him go. I am as responsible as he is.” did he declare.
The couple, who had sponsored this summer the first “Pride of the campaigns”, had several projects including that of becoming parents. Mathieu and Alexandre had to go to Ukraine to start a surrogacy procedure, then the war led their project to Colombia. Mathieu has decided to continue his dream of becoming a dad, but this time alone.
The two men announced that they would go live on Instagram this Tuesday, September 13 at 7:30 p.m., to discuss their future project and “explain everything”. “Today I will not respond to comments or private messages. I would like to stay a little quiet today. You will understand… To speak once and only once about our separation”, said Alexandre in a video posted on Instagram.
