Liga – 4th day: FC Barcelona imposes its law on Seville (0-3)

New runner-up to Real, Barça plunges Sevilla into crisis. Bleeding in attack and well helped by a Marc-André ter Stegen of the big nights, FC Barcelona easily won on the historically difficult lawn of Sanchez-Pizjuan on Saturday (0-3). Sevilla started the game better but were surprised behind their back by Raphinha (21st), before Robert Lewandowski (36th) and Eric Garcia (50th) came to increase the score in favor of the Blaugrana. For his return to Andalusia, Jules Koundé shone (two assists) and even almost scored. Second in La Liga before starting its European campaign, Barça did the job. On the other hand, the next few days promise to be complicated for Julen Lopetegui and his team, 17th with still a small point on the clock after four days.

Koundé, successful return to familiar territory

There is an emergency in Seville. The Blanquirrojos, 15th at kick-off, absolutely had to win so as not to see the European folding seats escape early in the season. Ivan Rakitic also almost blew up the eruptive stands of Sanchez-Pizjuan, but Ter Stegen pulled out of his gloves a first high-class stop (5th). The German goalkeeper once again had to save his own, stretching full length on a shot from Youssef En-Nesyri (18th). Jostled, the culé club woke up in counter-attack. After a recovery from Gavi, Dembélé served Lewandowski, who was responsible for deceiving Yassine Bono with a stung ball pushed back on his line by Fernando. Raphinha also trailed there and catapulted the leather of the head into the back of the net (21st).

A quarter of an hour later, the Pole scored his fifth pawn of the season in La Liga with a sequence that a certain Marco van Basten would not have denied (chest control followed by a half-volley recovery) . Originally, a perfectly dosed ball from Jules Koundé (36th), at ease on a meadow he knows very well, he the former Sevillian. The Frenchman almost scored his first goal in his new colors, but his header from close range missed the target (45th).

Seville adrift

Interesting in his projections and often just in his interventions, Koundé cracked a second decisive pass, this time on receiving a cross from Raphinha. With a header, the right side for one evening ideally served Eric Garcia, author of the third Barcelona goal (50th). Opposite, Ter Stegen took care of disgusting the Sevillian attackers, Erik Lamela in the lead (52nd).

Not satiated for a penny, Lewandowski was a good player when Dembélé only had to slip the leather in the additional time of the first period (45th + 3). The Frenchman has also made a successful copy, in the wake of an attacking trio with long teeth, and above all impressive on the eve of the Champions League. Launched on high bases, Lewandowski could have scored twice (62nd, 73rd), but Bono was responsible each time for defeating the Pole. From his bench, Xavi undoubtedly appreciated, he who took care to rotate. Frenkie de Jong was notably the most mobile entrant. Faced with a drifting Seville (17th, 1 point), this Barça definitely has reason to believe in a radiant season (2nd, 10 points).
