The overwhelming domination of Alsace continues. For the fourth time in 11 editions of the show “The favorite village of the French“, it is an Alsatian village that has established itself This year. Bergheim, located in the north of Haut-Rhin, between Colmar and Sélestat, triumphed this Wednesday evening, against 13 other candidate municipalities, located in all regions of France.
Among the candidates, there was for example La Bouille, in Normandy, Saint Sulpice de Favières, in Ile de France, or even Le Malzieu city in Occitanie.

The announcement was made by Stéphane Bern during the television show. Elisabeth Schneider, Mayor of Bergheim reacted: “I am very moved. It is exceptional for us. It is a great pride to receive this award“.
