Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella of Monaco have returned to the second year of the François d’Assise-Nicolas Barré primary school. Although the children blended in with their classmates, all dressed in a red polo shirt with the school logo, the presence of Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene did not go unnoticed on Monday, September 5.

Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella return to school

This Monday, September 5, 2022, it was time for the start of the school year for Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella of Monaco. The 7-year-old twins of Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene started their second year of primary school at the private school François d’Assise-Nicolas Barré (FANB). The FANB Institution is the result of the merger of private Catholic educational establishments in the Principality of Monaco.

The image of parents, almost like all other parents, taking their children to school on the first day of the school year, was eagerly awaited. Last year, at the same time, Princess Charlene was absent, still stuck in South Africa for health reasons. The health crisis had also completely turned the school year of the twins upside down.

Back to school in the presence of Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene

Histoires Royales revealed in a world exclusive, from October 2021, that Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella no longer went to school, when just a month before, a photo shoot was organized to stage the twins’ first school year in primary school. In reality, a classroom had been set up within the palace, where they followed their teaching in the presence of a few hand-picked comrades. The information had been confirmed a few weeks later by Prince Albert II who had justified this decision for logistical reasons linked to the period of health crisis.

It would therefore seem that the Monegasque sovereign has estimated that the conditions allow his children to go to school again, which is located 300 meters from the Prince’s Palace. Jacques and Gabriella went back to school like all the other students on Monday. They wore red school uniforms and Princess Gabriella wore a headband of cat ears on her skull. The Marquis des Baux and the Countess of Carladès were entitled to a little capillary catch-up before the start of the school year. During the weekend, the Princess Gabriella played hairdresser’s apprentice by cutting her hair and her brother’s hair.
